Amy Mall is a board member of Family Farm Defenders and co-founders of Altgeld Sawyer Conrner Farm near Logan Square in Chicago. She is a multi-disciplinary artist rooted in textile craft traditions. Raised in Chicago and the Indian Himalayas, she uses the creative process as a vehicle to investigate and build meaningful connections. Her love for weaving and community building led to an interest in farming and food. She worked as an intern for The Resource Center, in Chicago, where she was able to participate in a large scale composting project and an urban farm. Later she worked for Angelic Organics, a large CSA farm in Illinois where she was able to work on all aspects of vegetable production while living in community.
