Annie Novak, farmer and founder has been farming for years. In April 2009, her expertise was taken from ground level to rooftop height as a co-founder of Eagle Street Rooftop Farm. In 2010, the green roof turned vegetable farm supports afarm-based market, a Communtiy Supported Agriculture program, edcuational workshops and free public programming, over thirty different fruits and vegetables, a seed svaing and transplant exchange, chickens, bees and rabbits, public composting, an apprenticeship training program, and has set a stunning example of possibility within the urban farming movement.
