Felix Wai

Felix Wai is a USDA Multicultural Fellow and PhD student at the Univeristy of Vermont and a co-founder of the Ecological Learning Institute.  His reaserch centers on the intersection between environmental security, food production and water quality in urban areas.  He spent two and a half years as a community organizer and non-profit director, helping rebuild houses and ocmmunitites in hurricane and proverty ravaged areas of New Orleans.  He has been working as an environmental educator and mentor for nine years including time as a wilderness therapy instructor and 6th grade science teacher.
