Obiora Embry

Obiora's first name is an Ibo/Igbo name that means "goodwill to family and friends" or "the good wishes of the people."  He has a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, is a certified EIT (Engineer-In-Training), and a self-proclaimed Eco-Conscious Thinker with a variety of interests.

Some of his interests include natural gardening (using organic and biodynamic techniques...with the desire to add permaculture in the near future), being a good steward to the environment, volunteering, supporting causes on Care2 (since 1999) and Click to Give (since April 2000); expanding his horizons, mentoring, educating and helping others.

Obiora realized in 2001 that food security would be a greater issue and decided then to resurrect his "green" thumb, however, it wasn't until 2005 that he started gardening again.  In January 2006, he founded EConsulting™, which is an eco–conscious company.  Many of the company's products and services relate to gardening, as he feels that it's an integral part of  "engineering a better future™" for humans and Mother Earth.
