Steven McFadden

A journalist, a grower and a healer, Steven McFadden is the author of eight non-fiction books. Food Systems Network NYC in January named his newest title, The Call of the Land: An Agrarian Primer for the 21st Century, one of the best books of 2009. Steven has been writing about CSA since its inception in 1986, and is coauthor of the first two books about CSA -- Farms of Tomorrow (1990) and Farms of Tomorrow Revisited (1998). He authored several critically acclaimed books The Legend of the Rainbow Warriors,  Profiles in Wisdom: Native Elders Speak About the Earth, and The Little Book of Native American Wisdom. 

After walking from the Atlantic to the Pacific over the course of 8 months with a multicultural band of pilgrims under the teaching of the Algonquin peoples, he wrote Odyssey of the 8th Fire
