An interactive and participatory exploration and storytelling session about our experiences and the opportunities to engage children and youth in the delicious and delight-fun creation of art gardens that especially utilize recycled materials and sacred geometry symbols. Linking art and gardens is a natural expression of the Earth. Sometimes in the garden working with plants is not necessary, but creating art can be used to keep youth engaged most any time.
Using PowerPoint slides and other reference materials we will demonstrate the beautiful possibilities! Children are gonna be creative….constructively or destructively…but they will be creative and our task is to provide the environment for constructive creativity. Our understanding of quantum thinking and our interconnectedness through art expressions can serve as additional resources to expand the possibilities with our youth. Engaging youth in art gardens can provide them with a grander sense of themselves and capacity to respond creatively to the racism that they face in their daily lives.
