This workshop will explore the process of establishing a comprehensive urban farming program in a major metropolitan area where farm planning, site preparation, execution, distribution, education and training will be addresssed. The city of Indianapolis is being used as a case study highlighting a partnership with three distinct institutions (Bulter University, the City of Indianapolis and Growing Places Indy, Inc.) that represent higher education, local government and the non-profit/private sectors.
